Sturdy Deck Framing Systems for Outdoor Living Spaces
A solid deck framing system provides long-lasting support for your new outdoor living space. Whether your deck surrounds the pool in your backyard or extends from an upper level of your home, Custom Decks can build a sturdy frame to support the weight of your family and friends as you enjoy a cookout or other get-together, and any furniture or decorations you may have on your deck. We have many years of experience building custom decks for our customers, complete with sturdy deck framing and optional drainage systems that allow homeowners to get the most out of their new deck.
In fact, when we build a deck frame, we go beyond industry standards performed by other deck companies because we want to provide you with the strongest frame possible. For instance, we build our deck framing systems with pressure-treated lumber, which will never split or warp, Z Max framing fasteners that are specially coated for use with pressure-treated wood, and galvanized nails that won’t rust. Plus, we space the joists 12 inches on center instead of the industry standard of 16 inches, and we eliminate “bounce” with mid-span blocking, a technique not required by code and one most deck companies don’t utilize.
As an optional upgrade, Custom Decks can build a custom-made steel deck framing system from Trex, the only decking company that specifically offers steel framing materials. The Trex Elevations system, offering the unparalleled strength of steel, can withstand years of abuse from Mother Nature and is resistant to rot and termite infestation. Additionally, it is non-combustible and has a Class 1A fire rating. The result is a safe, durable, and stable frame with the strength to span long distances with minimal posts.
New decks supported by our deck framing systems can be made from high-performance composite or traditional wood materials and can be finished with rails, a staircase, and/or a pergola. And, we provide a 10-year warranty on all our decks and decking components as protection for your investment.
